D-Day; remembering

In remembrance of D-Day, June 6th 1945, I am reposting here the link to my cousin Derek’s receipt of the Legion d’Honneur, given in recognition of his service on that day and after.

Also the link to my Uncle Jim’s story. Jim died with the rest of his crew, on May 8th 1944. Unknown to them, the sortie on which they were killed was part of advance operations to lead up to D-Day.

RIP Jim.

Well served, Derek.
